ECE Professor Bonnie Ferri has been unanimously selected for the 2016 Regents’ Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award.

Bonnie Ferri has been named as the recipient of the 2017 IEEE Undergraduate Teaching Award. Ferri will be presented with this award at the IEEE Frontiers in Education Conference, to be held October 18-21, 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

As college students surge into electrical engineering degree programs, educators are pressured to find the best methods of teaching an evolving body of knowledge.

The prestigious award is presented annually to one individual in recognition of their contributions to automatic control education in any form.

Six Georgia Tech faculty members were named IEEE Fellows, effective January 1, 2022. They are Ghassan AlRegib, Levent Degertekin, Bonnie Ferri, Arijit Raychowdhury, Maryam Saeedifard, and May Dongmei Wang.

In 1988, the School of Electrical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology hired Bonnie Ferri as its first female faculty member. The School now has 13 women in its faculty ranks.
