The U.S. Department of Energy has announced that a Georgia Tech research team is among one of seven chosen for R&D funding in the area of solid-state lighting (SSL).

Tracer FIRE for the U.S. Department of Energy is a program developed by Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories to educate and train cyber security incident responders and analysts in critical skill areas.

On Sept. 6-7, 2018, Sandia National Laboratories and Georgia Tech ECE Assistant Professor Brendan Saltaformaggio hosted an exercise to provide students a look into how forensic incident response teams operate.

The Georgia Tech EcoCAR 3 team placed fifth overall and won numerous top prizes at EcoCAR 3, a four-year student competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) and General Motors.

Multiple members of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) contributed to the four-year project.

The next DOE-sponsored Advanced Vehicle Technology Competition (AVTC) set to begin in Fall 2022.

ECE Ph.D. student Qianxue Xia received the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Seed Research Award

ECE Regents' Professor Ajeet Rohatgi has been named as a recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.

Hao's research team is developing an ultra-fast field-programmable gate array system to detect and track particles in high-energy physics experiments.
