Frank Lambert has been named president-elect for the IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES).

It is with much sadness that we share with you that our treasured friend and colleague, Frank Lambert, died on July 27, 2021 after a long illness.

Sanaz Paran received the Best Poster Award from the College of Engineering at the Sixth Annual Georgia Tech Postdoctoral Research Symposium, held on September 19, 2019.

Hao Chen and Deepak Divan won the first place prize paper award for 2018 in the IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics.

Twenty-three teams competed in IEEE Power Electronics Empower a Billion Lives (EBL), a global competition that is crowd-sourcing the deployment of clean, sustainable, and innovative solutions to one of the biggest challenges facing us today.

The globally recognized researcher in advanced power conversion technologies is the first Georgia Tech faculty member to receive the distinction.

Divan received the award in recognition of his, “contributions to distributed and decentralized dynamic control of transmission and distribution systems”.
