ECE Associate Professor Santiago Grijalva has been appointed as an associate director of the Strategic Energy Institute at Georgia Tech.

Carlos S. "Santiago" Grijalva was appointed as the associate director for Electrical Energy Systems in the Strategic Energy Institute (SEI), effective December 1, 2011.

Dr. Grijalva has been an associate professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech since 2009. In his new role, he will foster the research enterprise in the area of energy conversion, including assembling faculty teams to compete for energy-related grants. Dr. Grijalva will also work with industry and with contacts in Washington, D.C. to facilitate research opportunities, policy, and impact in this area.
