The U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges Issue, which includes undergraduate engineering program rankings, has been published and the results for ECE are fantastic.

Electrical engineering maintained its fourth place position from last year and ranked second among public universities, while computer engineering remained strong at sixth place, maintaining the same position as last year, and ranked third among public universities.

Moving up a spot from last year, the College of Engineering tied for fourth with Caltech, and all of the programs offered by the College placed among the top 10 of their respective disciplines. This year, the College has two programs ranked as number one in the nation. Industrial and systems engineering ranked number one for the 22nd consecutive year, and biomedical engineering ranked first in its discipline for the first time.

Georgia Tech also retained its seventh place standing among all public universities. To learn more, please read the news releases on the Georgia Tech website and the College of Engineering website.

“I am proud to see our EE and CmpE programs ranked among the very best in the nation,” said Steven W. McLaughlin, professor and Steve W. Chaddick School Chair. “I’d like to thank everyone for your hard work and dedication to education and research and for providing top notch educational experiences to our students. Let’s keep up the excellent work!”
