Guidelines for Composing Faculty Profile Pages for the ECE Web Site

All ECE faculty are asked to compose an individual profile following the format detailed below. These will be posted on the ECE web site.

This faculty information is geared towards ECE's external constituents - current and potential funding sources, prospective students, corporate sponsors, alumni and other visitors.

If you have your own web site or a detailed resume, we will link this in your "Faculty Profile" as part of your contact information. This profile page is essentially your personal summary. It should be brief, concise and interesting.

If you already have a faculty profile and would like to have it updated, please fill out this form, and for any required fields that do not need to be updated, simply put "No Change".

Background
Tell about yourself in no more than 150 words (this is a summary): your education (MAKE SURE THAT YOU INCLUDE ALL DEGREES RECEIVED, INSTITUTIONS, AND DATES), where you have worked, when you came to Tech, and what you have accomplished in the course of your career. If you have a hobby or interest, it is okay to mention those. It can give your profile an added dimension and "human touch".
Research Interests
This will be presented in the form of bullets - if possible, no more than 6. Please try to write in terms that will be understandable to a non-scientific/technical audience. Try to avoid formulas and highly esoteric scientific/mathematical terms.
Research Interests
Distinctions
Awards, fellowships, patents, positions held within professional organizations, committees chaired, keynote addresses made, memberships in professional organizations and associations, scholarships. Other outstanding achievements such as being a prize-winning athlete or being a member of a musical ensemble can also be mentioned. These are only suggestions - do not feel compelled to include something in every category mentioned! Try to keep this under 6.
Distinctions
Selected Publications
Try to pinpoint those publications that best represent the essence of your work.  These are not necessarily your most recent publications--a textbook published 20 years ago that is still being used should be included.  Try to keep this under 5.
If you would like to have your Google Scholar link on the site, please provide it below.
Please visit the sites of the other ECE faculty so you can get a sense of how your colleagues are presenting themselves.  If you have any questions, or would like some help in developing your profile, contact Dan Watson and Martina Lindo at communications@ece.gatech.edu
