Biography

Professor Brothers joined the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2020 focusing on Digital Design. Prior to joining ECE, Dr. Brothers was the Chief Scientist for the Applied Embedded Systems (AES) Division of the Electronic Systems Laboratory (ELSYS) at Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI). From 2008-2010, he was with the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) in China Lake, California doing research and development. Dr. Brothers was a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard and is a combat veteran from Operation Iraqi Freedom (2004-2005). Additionally, he was an assistant professor at the University of South Alabama (2007-2008). Dr. Brothers received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, as well as his B.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Wyoming in 2007 and 2002, respectively.

Dr. Brothers has lived/or worked in 9 different states, and loves traveling, biking, camping, hiking, and woodworking.
