Course Objective:
Basic M-ary digital communications systems, with emphasis on
system design and performance analysis in the presence of additive noise.

Assignments are issued weekly and due at the beginning of class one week
after they are assigned. Late assignments will not be accepted.
Assignments will be graded and solutions provided.
Quizes and Final Exam:
Quiz 1: Thursday October 5, 2000, in-class
Quiz 2: Thursday November 30, 2000, in-class
Final Exam: December 12, 2000, 2:50 pm - 5:40pm
All exams are open book.
