Course Objective:
To present the fundamentals of modern digital communication systems and evaluate their performance with realistic channel models.

Homework:
Assignments are issued bi-weekly and due at the beginning of class on their due
date. Late assignments will not be accepted.
Assignments will be roughly graded and solutions provided.
Choose a topic from the suggested list or a topic of your own with instructors
consent.
Projects are to be completed individually.Projects are due April 17,
2008. Late projects cannot be accepted.
Tests and Final Exam:
Quiz: Thursday February 21, 2008, in-class
Final Exam: Monday April 28, 2008, 8:00am-10:50am
Test and Exam Policy:
Course textbook and one 8 1/2" X 11" crib sheet are allowed
(one side for quiz and two sides for exam).
