Biography

Mohammad Soltani received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, Iran, in 1999 and 2001 respectively. Since January 2002 he has been a Ph.D student in the electrical engineering program at Georgia Tech.
His general research interests are electromagnetics, quantum electronics, quantum optics, condensed matter.
His current research is on the design and fabrication of microcavities and coupled waveguide-cavities in photonic crystals for filtering and sensing, nonlinear optics in silicon microcavities and slow wave structures.
