Biography
Saeed Mohammadi got his B.S. and MSEE degrees from Sharif
University of Technology in Microelectronics. His Master’s thesis was on the design
of CDMA transceivers for wireless communications. In 2003 he joined Professor
Adibi's group as a graduate student working on a new generation of
electromechanical devices based on phononic crystals (PnCs) with applications in
wireless communications and bio-sensing. Saeed got his M.Sc. degree in 2005 from
Georgia Tech and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. Saeed is a member of the National
Organization for the Development of Exceptional Talents and a recipient of the
bronze medal in the National Physics Olympiad in Iran. He is also a member of IEEE
and OSA, and the winner of best student paper award in the 2008 IEEE International
Frequency Control Symposium.
Saeed's research includes the design, simulation,
fabrication, and characterization of phononic crystal-based
micro/nano-mechanical structures for wireless communications and sensing
applications.
