Biography
James Hsu received his M.S. and B.S. in Taiwan from the National
Taiwan University in September 2000 and June 2007. His B.S. and M.S. are from the
Optic-Elecro-Mechanics group of the ESOE department. Currently, James is working on his
Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech.
He has worked on optical nano-lithography related designs. His
research also included studying novel surface plasmon polariton structures, and nanometer
fabrication processes. His Master's thesis, entitled “Design and development of plasmonic
nano-lithography platform,” won the 2007 Excellent Award of the HIWIN Thesis Award.
James' current research topics focus on optical simulations. His
interests include integrated optical devices, applications of plasmonic waveguide structures,
and on-chip optical systems. He joined Prof. Ali Adibi’s research group at the Georgia Institute
of Technology in August 2009.
