Biography

Maysam Reza Chamanzar received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Communications and Electronics) from AmirKabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) in 2003. He received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering majoring in Microwave and Photonics from Sharif University of Technology (Tehran, Iran) in 2005. He joined the Photonic Research Group at Georgia Institute of Technology in Aug. 2006 where he is now a Ph.D. student.

His research interests include nano-photonics and plasmonics, electromagnetic theory and computational electromagnetics.

His active research is now design and implementation of integrated nano-photonic and plasmonic devices for lab-on-a-chip biosensing.
