Biography

Charles Camp hails from the DC-Metro area receiving his BS and MS from the University of Maryland in Electrical Engineering (Electrophysics). His thesis work focused on all-optical thresholding via patterned active-region multimode switches (PARMS) under the tutelage of Professor Julius Goldhar and Dr. Christopher Richardson at the Laboratory for Physical Science in College Park, MD.

After his six year stint at the University of Maryland, Charles arrived at Georgia Tech and has shifted away from integrated optics for telecommunications and into his new passion: BioOptics/Photonics. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Electrical Engineering (Photonics) with a minor in Biochemistry. His current research is focused on multiplex coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering (MCARS) spectroscopy and flow cytometry.
