SARL's mission: Application of multiple antennas to enhance wireless networks

Smart Antenna Research Laboratory

We focus on the lower three (physical, data link, and transport) layers of wireless ad hoc network and wireless sensor networks, with emphasis on transmission schemes that use multiple or directional antennas. Specific areas of interest include:

  • Cooperative Transmission
  • Vehicular propagation channel measurement and modeling
  • Multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) architectures
  • Smart antennas
  • Adaptive arrays Image of Dr. Mary Ann Ingram
