Sung Joo Park

Bio

Sung Joo Park (M'09) received the B.S. and M.S degrees from the Electronic Engineering Department, Sogang University, Seoul, Korea, in 1998 and 2000, respectively. He is pursuing the Ph.D. degree at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA. His research focus is on the high speed interfaces and 3D ICs. From 2000, he is a Senior Engineer at DRAM Development and Technology Department, Memory Business, Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. where he worked on the design and development of memory systems. He has 22 issued patents and has several patents pending. Mr. Park is a member of JEDEC (Joint Electron Devices Engineering Counsel) and has standardized industry standards since 2006. He was the Vice-chair of Small Module Committee and the Co-chair of Load Reduced Dual in-line Memory Module (LRDIMM) task group during 2008-2011, and received JEDEC Chairman's Award in 2010. He received the Samsung Fellowship in 2011 for his doctorate study.
