Biography

Dr. Won-Yeol Lee was born in Daegu, Korea. He earned his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the Deparment of Electronic Engineering, Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea in 1997 and 1999, respectively. He received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA. in 2009, under the guidance of Prof. Ian F. Akyildiz in the Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory . From 1999 to 2004, he was senior research engineer of Network R&D Center and Wireless Multimedia Service Development Division at LG U+ (formerly LG Telecom), Seoul, Korea. Currently he is Deputy Director of the Wireless Technology Department, Central R&D Laboratory, Korea Telecom (KT), Seoul, Korea.

Dr. Won-Yeol Lee received the 2008 Researcher of the Year Award in Broadband Wireless Networking Laboratory, School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology.
