Prof. Santiago GrijalvaProf. Santiago Grijalva

Is an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering. His background is in both electric power and computer science. Dr. Grijalva is a pioneer in the area of power system informatics and green electricity. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, he spent 10 years in the industry, developing of commercial grade algorithms for real-time power system control, optimization, and visualization. He was the main developer of several of PowerWorld’s Simulator software suites, currently used around the world. He graduated with his M.Sc. and PhD degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999 and 2002, respectively.

Dr. Masoud H. Nazari

Dr. Masoud H. Nazari

  • Is a Post Doctoral Fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech. Dr. Nazari received a PhD in Engineering and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University in 2012. He also received a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering in a joint program between Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Porto in Portugal in 2012. His current research is focused on developing a distributed control and management architecture for resilient, reliable and cost-optimizing large-scale electric energy systems. He has several papers in the subject of power system stability and control.
