Diego was born in Bucaramanga, Colombia in 1982. After completing high school, he moved to Bogota where he obtained his B.S. in Electronics Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. In spring 2008 he joined Georgia Tech to pursue his graduate studies. During his first semester he was a Teaching Assistant for two Computer Engineering courses; in summer of that same year, he joined the Integrated MEMS Laboratory to work as a Research Assistant under the supervision of Professor Farrokh Ayazi. During spring 2011, Diego was Dr. Ayazi's Teaching Assistant for his "Interface IC design for MEMS and Sensors" graduate course. He was also the recipient of the 2011 Goizueta Foundation Fellowship, an award granted to outstanding Hispanic graduate students at Georgia Tech. Currently, Diego is working in parallel as a Product Development Engineer at Qualtre, Inc. where he is developing a new generation of MEMS inertial sensors. |
