Mauricio Pardo Gonzalez was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1979. At 14, Mauricio moved to Barranquilla, where he attended Universidad del Norte. Mauricio received a B.S. degree in Electronics Engineering in 2002.
Mauricio worked as an associate professor in Universidad del Norte during three years. As part of his training as a professor, Mauricio is sponsored by a joint program between The Fulbright Program (US Government), Colciencias (Colombian Government for Science and Research) and Universidad del Norte to pursue his doctoral studies in Microelectronics and MEMS.
Since January 2006, he moved to Atlanta and started attending Georgia Institute of Technology. He joined Dr. Ayazi's IMEMS lab in Fall 2006 to work on Frequency Synthesis systems that exploit the characteristics of the MEMS devices fabricated in the Research Group. The design strategy for the frequency synthesizers involves analog and digital circuits.
