Insulators
are vital components of all electrical systems. NEETRAC has the equipment
and expertise to evaluate the electrical and mechanical properties of
insulators to ensure proper system performance. Insulators are evaluated
with special tests designed to simulate or accelerate field conditions.
NEETRAC can perform an array of electrical and mechanical tests on ceramic
and polymer insulators.
All tests are performed
in accordance with the ANSI, C29 and IEC 383, IEC 575 standards for electrical
power insulators. Other specifically designed tests can be performed to
investigate field failure problems or other areas of interest.
