2005 Fall Research Review
This Fall the Georgia Tech Analog Consortium will hold its bi-annual review at the Technology Square Research Building in conjunction with Georgia Electronic Design Center’s Industry Annual Board Meeting. The Research Review will take place on October 25, 2005 with special sessions and a reception on October 24, 2005.
Speakers will include Richard Lai, Manager for the Microelectronic Technology Department at Northrop Grumman, John Zolper, Director of the Microsystems Technology Office at DARPA, Linda Katehi, Dean of Engineering at Purdue University, and Jerry Bautista, Director of Technology Management at Intel.
The feedback from industry was favorable last spring. They enjoyed the venue, social and technical discussions. They found the conference to be overall beneficial and seemed to appreciate the minor changes in format.

2005 Spring Research Review
This Spring the Georgia Tech Analog Consortium held its bi-annual review at the Technology Square Research Building in conjunction with Georgia Electronic Design Center’s Industry Annual Board Meeting. The Research Review took place on April 19, 2004 with special sessions and a reception on April 18, 2005.
Speakers included Stewart Taylor, Senior Scientist for Intel, Kristin Rinne, Chief Technology Officer for Cingular Wireless, ByeongCheon Koh, Chief Technology Officer for Samsung Electro-Mechanics Company, and Gregg Lowe, Vice President of Texas Instruments’ High Performance Analog Unit. This spring we also held a Panel Discussion (co-sponsored by GEDC and Spirent) in the Global Learning Center across the street. The Panelist discussed the challenges and opportunities of 3G/4G technology. The moderator was James Brunson, Product Marketing Manager for Spirent Communications. To see agenda click here.

2003 GTAC Magazine
GTAC lauched the first edition of its magazine during the 2003 Summer semester. It is comprised of news and information on industry, students and faculty. This particular issue also highlights the work of Drs. Paul Hasler and David Anderson, two of GTAC's faculty.
GEORGIA TECH STATS
According to the 2004 U.S. News and World Report final graduate rankings, Georgia Tech's College of Engineering is 5th in the nation. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is ranked 7th in the nation. We currently have total of 6,545 undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Engineering and 1000 in Electrical and Computer Engineering. There are 3,298 graduate students in the College of Engineering and of that 975 are in Electrical and Computer Engineering. In Fiscal year 2003, there were 1286 undergraduate engineering degrees conferred, 881 master's engineering degrees conferred, and 164 Ph.D. engineering degrees conferred, out of 4,008 total Georgia Tech degrees conferred. Georgia Tech's current total enrollment is 16,643 students. The College of Engineering has a total of 9,843 students, 6,545 are undergraduate, 1,451 are master's students, and 1,847 are Ph.D. students. Georgia Tech has a total of 901 faculty. Sixty-three percent of Georgia Tech Faculty are tenured and 69% of the College of Engineering Faculty are tenured.
