Christopher F. Barnes received his degrees (BS, MS, and PhD) from Brigham Young University in 1985, 1987, and 1989, respectively. Following receipt of his doctorate, he joined the Georgia Tech Research Institute as a research engineer. Dr. Barnes joined the academic faculty in the summer of 2002 at Georgia Tech Savannah as an Associate Professor.
Dr. Barnes has published over 80 journal articles, conference reports and book chapters and holds a US patent. His work has received attention in the popular press and media as well.
