Biography

Dr. Lee was born and raised in Tainan, Taiwan. He received his B.S.E.E. in 1990 from National Tsinghua University, Hsin-chu, Taiwan and was the valedictorian of his graduating class. He later received his M.S.E. (1994) and Ph.D. (2001) from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, both in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. He started at Georgia Tech in 2002 as an assistant professor in the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Before joining Georgia Tech, Dr. Lee worked for the StarCore Technology Center of Agere Systems as an architecture manager. He supervised the architecture team in the area of next generation DSP architecture development. Prior to this, he worked for Intel Corporations’ Microprocessor Research Labs where he worked as an EPIC architecture/compiler researcher, and as a processor architect for Pentium-II and Pentium III processor development.
