ECE Outreach: College Programs
ECE faculty and staff work tirelessly to increase interest in research and educational opportunities beyond the undergraduate years and are especially interested in recruiting more women and minorities to the field. Valuable, hands-on experiences are available through the following programs:
- SURE-The Summer Undergraduate Research in Engineering/Science Program at Georgia Tech is a 10-week summer research activity designed to attract qualified minority students into engineering and science graduate studies.
- FACES-Facilitating Academic Careers in Engineering and Science is a National Science Foundation-sponsored effort among Georgia Tech, Morehouse College, Emory University, and Spelman College. Its aim is to increase the number of African-Americans attaining doctorates in engineering and science.
