At the University of Florida live bus information is accessible by cellphone so you can make decisions while you are walking. I like it because I feel like once you have already taken the time to walk to the bus stop, choosing not to wait for the bus (15 minutes max here in Gainesville) is never a better decision. How long are the bus cycles in ATL?

Great project!
Would you be interested in the real-time GPS data for the busses? I'm the wireless services manager for the campus, which includes the LAWN and the cellular radios on the busses. GT-RNOC provides the GPS data to nextbus and we can get you this data. We would also be interested in collaborating on future designs.

Also, I'm curious what the colors indicate, it's never mentioned in the reports, etc.

One of the smartest customer related products I have seen in a while.
Great Job!

Instead of investing in expensive hardware, which needs upgrading, maintenance, batteries (solar, notwithstanding...) and capital upfront, instead, build a web based iPhone app and/or another stand-alone app for other pda devices. This would take this idea full circle. Put power in hands of anyone with a decent phone, with screen. A Palm TX with WiFi would work, too!
Colleges have wifi, don't they? Good idea, though.
