Professor Moad was born in Damascus, Syria. He attended the Georgia Institute of Technology from 1953 to 1961 where he received his B.E.E., M.S. and Ph.D. all in Electrical Engineering.
His interest was mainly in System and Circuit Theories. From 1961 to 1963, he worked for the Syrian Broadcasting Service as Director of the Department of Studies. He dealt with all aspects of broadcasting (Radio and Television) in studios as well as in transmitting stations across Syria.
From 1963 to the present he has been with the school of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Ga.Tech. He taught graduate as well as undergraduate courses in circuits, systems, and controls.
His hobbies include hiking and ballroom dancing.
