Locations of ECE Buildings and Campuses

ECE faculty, staff, and students are currently housed in nine different buildings on the Georgia Tech campus; the National Electric Energy Testing Research and Applications Center in Forest Park, Ga.; and at Georgia Tech Lorraine and at Georgia Tech Savannah.

Most of the links lead to building locations and street addresses on the campus map, while links to the Georgia Tech Lorraine and Georgia Tech Savannah campuses provide specific directions to those facilities.

Blake R. Van Leer Electrical and Computer Engineering Building

ECE administrative offices, classrooms, instructional and research labs, and offices are located here.

Joseph M. Pettit Microelectronics Research Center

Interdisciplinary researchers in microelectronics/microsystems, integrated optoelectronics, and microsensors and actuators have offices and lab and clean room space in this building.

Bunger-Henry Building

Microsystems and optics and photonics research takes place here.

Manufacturing Research Center

The headquarters for the Packaging Research Center is located here, as is the Center for Board Assembly Research.

UA Whitaker Building

Several ECE bioengineering faculty members have office and lab space in this building.

Technology Square Research Building

This state-of-the-art building houses researchers from many different areas, including the Georgia Electronic Design Center and the Center for Research on Embedded Systems and Technology.

Centergy One Building

Located at 75 5th Street, this building houses labs and offices for digital signal processing and telecommunications faculty. Inquiries may be directed to 404.894.2920.

National Electric Energy Testing Research and Applications Center

Electric power research faculty and staff are housed in this facility located in Forest Park, Ga. Directions are given from the Van Leer Building.

Christopher W. Klaus Advanced Computing Building (View video of construction; QuickTime Player required)

Computer engineering faculty, staff, and graduate students will be housed in this facility, as well as several computer engineering related research centers.

Marcus Nanotechnology Building (View live video of construction; QuickTime Player and Internet Explorer (Windows) or Safari (Mac) required)

This facility will house the Nanotechnology Research Center at Georgia Tech, which will feature 20,000 square feet of space dedicated to nanotechnology projects focused on physical science and engineering. That space will be adjacent to a 10,000-square-foot facility dedicated to biological and biomedical nanotechnology research–a combination that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. The building is slated to open in fall 2008.

Molecular Science and Engineering Building

The Molecular Science and Engineering Building is located in Georgia Tech's Biotechnology Complex and houses personnel from the Center for Organic Photonics and Electronics.

Georgia Tech Lorraine

This campus is the Georgia Tech platform into Europe.

Georgia Tech Savannah

This campus is the Georgia Tech hub in southeastern Georgia.

Georgia Tech Shanghai

Georgia Tech Shanghai operations are based at the Xuhui and Minhang campuses of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
