You may bring one 8.5"x11" piece of paper with your own handwritten notes to Quizzes and the Exam, plus the sheets used for previous Quizzes. Also pen, pencil, amd a simple calculator.
The textbooks for EE3055 are (you need all three):
Computer Organization and Design: The Hardware and Software Interface, Hennessey and Patterson (MKP)
Applied Operating System Concepts, A. Silberschatz, P. Galvin, and G. Gagne (Wiley, 1st edition). Be sure to get the 1st Edition of "Applied ...", vital material is missing in the preceeding editions of "Operating System Concepts".
Rapid Prototyping of Digital Design, Hamblen & Furman ,1999 (Kluwer Academic Publishers). This is the text for ECE 2031, a prereq for this course, so most of you should have the book already. It will very hard to do the lab projects without it. Please review Chap. 13.
